Dr. C.D. Bakala completed his M.D. training at UBC in 1988 and went on to further his training in an Otolaryngology residency program at the University of British Columbia, graduating in 1995. He went on for additional training in a Facial Plastics surgery fellowship program at the University of Toronto completing the program in 1996.

After his training was completed he decided to return to the beautiful city of Kelowna, BC where he and his wife were raised. He opened his practice in 1996 and has been offering his services to the wonderful people throughout the Okanagan ever since.

Dr. Bakala is Fellowship trained in Facial Plastic Surgery and is a member and Western Canada director of the Canadian Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery. He is Board Certified in Otolaryngology in Canada and also Board Certified, by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

In 1996 Dr. Bakala won the W.S Goodman Award from the Canadian Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery.

Dr. C. Bakala is a clinical instructor for the department of Otolaryngology –Head and Neck surgery for the University of British Columbia.
